Happy Thanksgiving

25 Nov

Though tomorrow is Thanksgiving, I decided to post my favorite thanksgiving episode of the Cosby Show. I love how Cliff goes back and forth to the store in the storm, his expression every time he goes out is hilarious.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

MTV Series Daria Finally Comes Out On DVD

8 Jul

Daria DVD 2010

Fans of the MTV series “Daria” should be rejoicing with the news that the series that introduced Daria Morgondorfer, Jane Lane and the rest of the cast is finally coming to DVD. Although the tv show’s made-for-tv movies are ready for purchase on DVD: Daria : Is It Fall Yet? and Daria Is It College Yet?, they both only have two episodes along with the movie. A fan of Daria myself, I will be definitely looking out for it, its long over due.

After being canceled in its third season, the CW series “The Game” will have the last laugh, sort of. The first season of the comedy will be released on DVD by the fall of this year. There are also rumors of the show maybe moving to TBS, which is also home to My Boys (one of my favorite shows) and Tyler Perry’s “House of Payne” and “Meet the Browns” .TBS would be a great network for “The Game”,  its become the network for comedy.

Lindsay Lohan’s “Eharmony Profile” Spoof

16 Apr

I’m a fan of Lindsay’s acting (Mean Girls, Just My Luck) but not of her drama. However, I think this video she made of herself is very funny.

If youtube shuts the above video’s audio off, here is the link for her video on Funny or Die.

Change The Game Campaign

9 Apr

The CW sitcom “The Game” needs your help. It might be on its way to an end. The cast of the game has created the “Change The Game Campaign” to help keep this show alive. If you’re a fan of The Game check out the show’s twitter page and as well as the show’s message board on the CW website to show your support. I’m a fan of Tia Mowry-Hardict (via Sister Sister) and Pooch Hall (via Miracle’s Boys on The N), so I’ll do what I can to show support for the show and keep it on air. Executive Producer Mara Brock-Ali (who also created and produced the sitcom Girlfriends) is trying to change The Game from a half-hour comedy to a one-hour dramedy, I would definitely watch it.

Are You Afraid Of The Dark?

13 Mar

Since today is Friday the 13th, I decided to post a couple youtube videos of “Are You Afraid of the Dark?”. I miss the old Nickelodeon (and the old Disney Channel).

Here are my faves:

The Quiet Librarian  Part 1 of 3

(“Hush”, an episode from Buffy The Vampire Slayer was supposedly based on this episode)

The Tale of Quicksliver Part 1 of 3 (Tayana Ali stars in this episode)

The Tale of the Chameleon (Tia & Tamera Mowry star in this episode)

The L Word (2004-2009)

(This is my favorite photo of the cast)

I’ve only been a fan of The L Word since season four, but I’ve been able to catch up with the three seasons I missed via Youtube. I’m sad to see the show go (and a little bit more sad with the disappointing ending of the series finale), but there have been moments of the show that are great to reminisce about. Here are my top fave moments:

The Infamous Basketball Game

To Ascertain the Dispostion And Intent Of One Miss Lara Perkins

Dana & Shane on Influence (Tegan and Sara cameo)

The Best Episode Opening of The L Word: Luck Be A Lady (first 10 minutes)

Alice finding out about Shane and Jenny and texting everyone about it

The Black List Vol.2

27 Feb

If you don’t know, The Black List is a great documentary that features men and women of African descent, who talk about their experience as an African-American. The Black List Vol.2 features SNL’s Maya Rudolph (i.e. she’s half African-American and half Jewish, her mom is the late R&B songstress Minnie Ripperton), artists Kara Walker, actor Laurence Fishbourne, activist Angela Davis, actor/director Melvin Van Peebles, fashion designer Patrick Robinson, amongst an A-List of others selected for this documentary. If you have HBO, you should check it out.
