Cover Girl Lipslicks

Cover Girl Lipslicks are the perfect alternative when you don’t want that major sheen of lip gloss but still want a little color without buying a plain lip balm. I’ve been using them sense freshman year in college and I love it. It keeps my lips moisturized and has a variety of colors to choose from. I mostly pick the same shades when buying lip gloss: brown, maroon or cherry (anything bright makes my lips look pasty). While trying out the different shades, I’ve discovered my favorites are Hipster, Bronze Goddess and Daring. It costs around $5, so its cheap. If you’re looking for a little color and your lips to be moisturized, you should try.

Several Wet’n'Wild Products have been Put to Rest

Wet’n'Wild‘s products are doing yet another make-over (if you’ve been a fan of them like I’ve have, you’ve noticed the change) and are saying “bye bye” to several products/shades. In a link posted on their website “Beauty bye-bye”  lists shades of lip glosses/blushes/eye-shadows, etc. that are discontinued. A lot of those products were my faves: Including  their Twist Up Blush Stick,but taking the place of these products are new and improved versions of them. Like, there’s a new 3 of a kind Twist Up Stick with a few more shades than the old one and a new lip gloss, Diamond Brillance Moisture Lip Sheen for those who used to love Precious Metal Lip Stick. Neutrogena Lip Shine Gloss

Neutrogena is now becoming my “go to” brand for skincare and also cosmetics. Neutrogena’s Moisture Shine Gloss is one of my fave lip glosses to use. I was originally attracted to it because it kind of favored Chanel’s Glossimer ( in terms of packaging) to me. Its texture is kinda thick, so the shine lasts for about a couple of hours, and the color stays on aftewards ( this is perfect time that a clear lip gloss comes in handy, just to keep the shine). My fave shades are First Blush, Flirt and Glimmer. They’re only about $7 each, so its another bargain. Beauty Rush! by Victoria’s Secret

Last weekend, I went to the mall and stopped at my fave store of all time, Victoria’s Secret,and noticed their beauty sections. I’ve seen their products in various magazines and Victoria’s Secrets catalouge’s but have only used their lotions rather than their cosmetics. Beauty Rush is a lip gloss with scents that vary from sweet candy to flowers. The colors are sheer but also color, and because its from Victoria’s Secret, what woman wouldn’t want it!!!! It costs about $7, but there is a sale that ends on July 9th that has two Beauty Rush Lip glosses for $ 10 (the sales ends July 9th, only three days to take advantage of great opportunity!!!!). I have it in Crantastic (an orange lip gloss) and Cherry Bomb ( a red lip gloss) , the lip gloss does have alot of shine and color and stays on for atleast 4 hours (without reapplying). MaryKate & Ashley Lip Liner

CosmoGIRL! Beauty testing offering goodie!

‘Blush’, was the first word I noticed on the Mary Kate & Ashley product, so I immediately thought it was blush, and didn’t realize it might be something else due to its small and thin size. I turned it over and saw ” line my lips-lip liner”. I’m glad I found it, b/c I would’ve worn it on my cheeks thinking it was a new form of blush. When lining my lips, It feels very smooth which is great because some lip liners are pencils that have a sort of rough feel and leave a little sting after lining. CosmoGIRL! Beauty Testing Offering!

If you live in the Tri-state area, you might have heard a few commercials about a new brand of make-up from Carolina Bermudez, an On-Air Personality on z100, called Eyes Lips Face, also known as e.l.f. e.l.f., is a brand of cosmetics that was established in 2004. According to its website:”Our philosophy is that beauty comes from within and it’s our goal to enable every woman to look and feel her personal best through the blend of both the inner and outer person.” Their products prices are relatively close in cost, compared to CoverGirl and Maybelline. During a CosmoGIRL! Magazine Beauty Testing, each girl was given a goody bag, which featured e.l.f. All Over Cover Stick. My favorite shade is toasty. Wet N Wild Lip Gloss!

I have been using Wet’n'Wild’s Mega Slicks Lip Gloss since I first discovered my passion for make-up, during my senior year of High School. As I have said before, there make-up is very cheap (Mega slicks costs about $2.99 each) and their good quality. Although the shine does do away after an hour or two, the color stays on longer, so be sure to have a clear lip gloss if you like the shine. My favorite shades are red sensation and bronze berry. For the spring time, I recommend Sheerly Cola and Magenta Flash because of their neutral and fun colors, basically anyone can wear those shades, no matter what skin tone! Wet N Wild Palettes

lipimpression_compact_3.gif I’ve actually used both of the Wet’n'Wild’s Expression palettes, and they are really beneficial in terms of make-up on the go. The Eye Expressions has four neutral shades of brown, to give a more natural look while the Lip Expressions has four shades that range from pink to deep red. Both come with a face illuminator ( Eye Expressions: Toasty and Lip Expressions: Rose) that can be used for eyes,cheeks and lips and give your face a beautiful glow (hint J.Lo’s infamous glow). It only costs about $2.99, so its cheap, I definetley reccomend to buy it!
