New York Color Dust

When I first started my love affair with make-up, I only bought cosmetics that were cheap, because that’s all I could afford. And although  I am still  ”very poor” now, LOL, I still buy products from less expensive brands, like New York Color. New York Color’s Sparkle Eye Dust in champagne was one of my fave products. Since I always loved the J.Lo “glow” look, I loved that it had  gold reflectors in the shadow. It can look kind of ” pasty” if you apply too much. It only costs about 3 to 4 dollars, lasts for about four hours. Check out all the other shades of the Sparkle Eye Dust at, www.newyorkcolor.com

Shimmer Lotion

Now that the weather is getting warmer everyday, showing a little skin is becoming more mandatory. And although putting on lotion sometimes may feel hot and sticky in this humid weather, these two lotions are good enough to scacrifice that sticky feeling. Jergens Soft Shimmer Lotion , www.jergens.com, is a lotion that gives some gold sparkles to the skin while still fulfilling its purpose in mosturizing. While Nivea’s Silky Shimmer Lotion (www.nivea.com) leaves your skin filled with gold sparkles and comes in two shades (light to medium and medium to dark) that give the skin a glow and also a tan for lighter complexions. On a hot day, Jergens is more thick in texture and leaves your skin not looking ashy while Nivea’s texture is very thin and can rub off if you sweat, so pick Jergens for moisturizing and pick Nivea for the color, both are under $6, and I highly reccomend buying them both!!!!

Bronzer for Everyone!

MegaGlo™ Face Illuminator

I’ve been buying Wet’nWild products since I was 17 years old. I like them because their not expensiver and they have a variety of colors to choose from whether they’re in lip gloss or blush or eye shadow. Mt two fave products are their Mega Glo Face Illuminator and their Bronzer compact. My fave shade for the face illuminator is Toasty (it can also be confused with the shade, sun-kissed, but Toasty is a little darker). J.Lo’s singature glow inspired me to try it. I put a smudge on my cheeks and on my lips ( after I apply a cherry or red lip gloss) to give it a glow. With Bronzer, I never though I needed, because I’m darker than tan. But, when Iman commented on the Tyra Banks Showthat african-american women need bronzer too, I jumped on the bandwagon. I use Wet’nWild‘s bronzer in Medium/Dark on my cheecks and sometimes I dust a little bit on my face. I definetley recommend buying any product from Wet’n'Wild, although its marketed towards teens, women love it too (P.S. celebrities have also praised their lip liner pencils, saying their better than the department brands!)
