On a visit in NYC during spring break, my friend Deborah and her friend Thelma took me to Duane Reade, ins search of a foundation close to my skin color. Deborah recommended L’Oreal, because she uses one of their foundations, and we decided on L’Oreal’s True Match Super-blendable Make-Up. Foundations are complicated for me, mostly because my skin breaks out with certain foundations and very few shades are similar to my skin tone. But True Match is becoming a new favorite of mine. It has SPF 17, which is beneficial now, with the summer heat protection for skin cancer and Cappuccino (my shade) actually blends in with my skin and doesn’t give me that “cakey/pasty” look. Although L’Oreal is on the expensive side in drugstores (it costs about $11), the price is worth it.

I definitely recommend buying Cover Girl’s CG Smoothers Tinted Moisturizer, as a back up to whenever you just don’t feel like putting up with the hassle of making yourself even more beautiful everyday. I as user, i find that its very beneficial. The SPF 15 helps with the sun rays and the constant talk of aging with the skin, it works for mostly all skin types, it blends in with your skin tone (there are four shades, ranging from fair/medium to dark). And its oil-free, so it won’t clog up your pores. This is a product that is perfect for the spring and summer weather (whenever that will come, LOL) and to add with a bronzer to complete that summer glow.
AquaSmooth!
24 JanI’ve tried Cover Girl’s AquaSmooth make-up ( as part of their CG Smoothers Line) several times and it definetley is worth buying. The liquid to powder formula is great for people who don’t like to put alot of powder on their face for Humid days and for the liquid is best for the face in the winter time(the shade I used is toasted almond). It also has SPF 15, which is beneficial for anyone, and the mirror with the sponge helps if you have to rush to do your make-up.! ( also, the color really blends in with your actually skin tone, but be careful to not focus on certain areas of your face becasue you can look two-toned LOL)

Make-up to try
19 Jan

today I am featuring a Maybelline product that I love. Their Pure Powder is a powder I actually use. Ever since I was about 17, I’ve tried countless powders that made my skin breakout and wasted my money. But this one, is actually good choice for my skin and for everyone (its sensitive to all skin types!). And the color doesn’t make my skin look pasty or two shades lighter than it usually is ( i wear pure powder in dark). Bonus: it takes away the shine from my oily skin, and for me, that’s a plus! I recommend the whole team: the pure concealer and pure makeup (foundation) to complete the whole package!
