When I first started my love affair with make-up, I only bought cosmetics that were cheap, because that’s all I could afford. And although I am still ”very poor” now, LOL, I still buy products from less expensive brands, like New York Color. New York Color’s Sparkle Eye Dust in champagne was one of my fave products. Since I always loved the J.Lo “glow” look, I loved that it had gold reflectors in the shadow. It can look kind of ” pasty” if you apply too much. CoverGirl Eye Enhancers

Cover Girl’s Eye Enhancer’s Eye Shadow in Trio and Quads give a great variety of shades to wear. I’ve always been a little afraid to wear eyeshadow ,especially blue eyeshadow, in fear that I would look like a clown. However, Cover Girl’s Eye Enhancers give an almost sheer shine with enough color to even it out. When applied, it has a soft, powder texture ,it doesn’t have an odor and it only costs about $5 each. For girls toned medum to dark toned, the shade Dance Party ( a palette of three shades of purple; trio) & Coffee Shop (four shades of brown ranging from dark to light)looks great on a dark tone. For tan to olive skin girls, Shimmering Sands ( trio, three sheer shades of brown) & Urban Basics (four shades ranging from pink to brown) and for pale skin gals Evening Skies, (trio, three shades of blue) & Pure Romance (four shades of sheer color).

If you live in the Tri-state area, you might have heard a few commercials about a new brand of make-up from Carolina Bermudez, an On-Air Personality on z100, called Eyes Lips Face, also known as e.l.f. e.l.f., is a brand of cosmetics that was established in 2004. According to its website:”Our philosophy is that beauty comes from within and it’s our goal to enable every woman to look and feel her personal best through the blend of both the inner and outer person.” Their products prices are relatively close in cost, compared to CoverGirl and Maybelline. During a CosmoGIRL! Magazine Beauty Testing, each girl was given a goody bag, which featured e.l.f. All Over Cover Stick. My favorite shade is toasty. Wet N Wild Palettes

I’ve actually used both of the Wet’n'Wild’s Expression palettes, and they are really beneficial in terms of make-up on the go. The Eye Expressions has four neutral shades of brown, to give a more natural look while the Lip Expressions has four shades that range from pink to deep red. Both come with a face illuminator ( Eye Expressions: Toasty and Lip Expressions: Rose) that can be used for eyes,cheeks and lips and give your face a beautiful glow (hint J.Lo’s infamous glow). It only costs about $2.99, so its cheap, I definetley reccomend to buy it!
New way of testing eye shadows

on America’s Next Top Model, my fave out of the top three, Caridee, won, and I’m so glad that she is the new spokeswoman for CoverGirl and not Melrose (sorry for being so bias, LOL). Speaking of CoverGirl!, one of my fave products are there eye shadows, in all categories. My gave shade in the 1-eye-shadow pallete is Forever Fig ( i love colors that are bright & “loud”), in the 3-color pallete is Dance party ( b/c of the different shades of purple) and in the 4-color-palletes in Coffee Shop( i love brown colors in all types of make-up). The Cover Girl Shadow Salon, definetley helps with picking out a shade and now wasting your money with something you don’t like. There is one model for three shades ( fair, medium, and dark) and you can test each shade on her, by using the brush that is given, and you even get to apply mascara as well.
