The February 2, 2009 issue of the political magazine, The Nation, should be a must have cover for collecting Black History Month memorabilia. I don’t read The Nation, but I was fascinated by all the different figures in African-American history that were featured on the cover. Of course Barack & Michelle Obama are present as well as Dr. Martin Luther King, Ida B. Wells, Thurgood Marshall, but the Little Rock 9, Emmet Till and Addie Mae Collins, Carol Robertson, Cynthia Wesley, and Denise McNair- a.k.a.-the four girls killed in the 16th Street Baptist Church Bombing, are featured too.
