Good CharlotteDaddy Yankee

Good Charlotte’s, www.myspace.com/goodcharlotte new single ” I Don’t Want to Be in Love ( Dance Floor Anthem)”, is becoming one of my favorite songs out now. Its about the heartache of being in love and getting over it. Its an upbeat song with a great message, which is always a great combo for songs. I’ve never been a fan of reggeaton music, I can tolerate it but no “one” song has made me almost love it. However, Daddy Yankee’s, www.myspace.com/daddyyankee new single, “Impacto (Remix)” featuring Fergie, is growing on me. I’m not fluent in Spanish, so I don’t exactly know what he’s talking about, but, AGAIN, I love the beat and its a great song to dance too. Nelly Furtado, www.myspace.com/nellyfurtado has got to be one of my favorite artists of all time, I’ve been a fan since her first album” Whoa Nelly”. Her new single ” Do it” ( track 9 on her recent album, “Loose”) has always been my favorite. Its another upbeat party song, and a remix with Missy Elliot has been playing on the airwaves ( although its not available on the album).

Essie Nail Polish

I am so in love with Essie Nail Polish. I’ve read about it in Glamour, Vibe Vixen, etc., but always sticked to Cover Girl and Wet’nWild because they were cheaper. However, about a month ago, I had my first pedicure ( I know…gasp, check out my experience http://ashleynicolew.blogspot.com/2007/06/my-first-pedicure.html) and picked Essie in , I think, “Brick Oven”, and loved it. The pedicure lasted about 2 weeks and I was obbsessed with the color. I got another pedicure last week and picked the shade, ” After-Sex”. I love nail polish that have a “dark red” color, almost clost to burgundy. ” After Sex is a dark burgundy with little specs of gold in it, and I recieved so many compliments on my toes because of the color. Essie has over 200 shades to chose from, rangin from the Starter Wife ( a bright pink) to Raisinnuts ( a dark red).  As for price, they are $8 each so check out their website at http://www.essie.com/ and see it for your self.

Imajin

If you were a teenage girl in the late 90′s and obsessed with r&b boy-bands, you might have heard of the group Imajin. Olamide, Talib, Jamal and John created yet another boy band to love, whose style included great choreography and playing their own instruments to their songs. Their first single, ‘ Shorty you Keep playin’ with my mind”, featuring rapper Keith Murray, became an instant hit, following their next single ” No Doubt” and “Flava”. But somewhere along recording their second album, the group split up. The eldest member of the group, Jamal, apparently left and although they found another member, they haven’t been able to produce any hits. I also have the music video for their song, “No Doubt”. P.S. it features a young Megan Goode, as one of the video girls.
