It was all a dream

One of my favorite girl groups growing up was pop sensation, Dream. Four teenage girls from California, joined to form a pop group for one of the most infamous hip-hop producers of all time: P.Diddy. Melissa, Diana, Ashley and Holly, had two hit singles as the band Dream: “He loves you not” and “This is me”. They even toured with NSYNC and became America’s newest pop princess sweethearts. But as soon as they were going to record their sophomore album, back-up singer and blond, Melissa, decided she wanted to focus on her acting career and left the group. They did find a replacement in Casey another blond and created a more mature, sexier image. But it didn’t help regain their fans and status as a pop group, since the music scene was going towards more rock-pop than r&b and pop. They are no longer together but their website is still ali alive and well. Check it out! web.archive.org/web/20010123102000/thedreamsite.com/index_flat.html

My ultimate career aspirations are to create a successful magazine that deals with fashion, beauty, love & life advice towards a multicultural audience and  write a series of advice books for young women (ages 13-18), that is similar to the book, Ophelia Speaks, that deals with the everyday crisis of the average teenage girl: friendships, relationships, death in the family, problems with school (i.e. bullies, the coming out process, mean girls, boys who are too sexually aggressive, etc.)I am extremely passionate about pursuing a career in magazine journalism as well as a career in on-line media and writing I aspire to be a novelists as well. I would also like to be the producer/creator/writer of my own half-hour HBO sitcom based on my life as a teenager.
