I noticed that someone searched for the meaning of “flossy,flossy” from Fergie’s song, “Glamorous” and found my blog. Flossy Flossy, means showing one’s wealth, showing very expensive things, like jewelry and fancy clothes. Also, I found a website called Urban Dictionary, which lists a lof definitions about hip-hop words, it also lists Flossy Flossy, referring to a woman’s thong, LOL, but I’m pretty sure its about showing one’s wealth. I noticed the other day that someone typed “Journalism Internships” and found my blog. If you’re looking to intern in magazines and/or newspapers, i suggest that you e-mail the editorial assistant and ask them any questions you have about internships. I love the website, www.ed2010.com , it has so many internship postings to chose from, they receive about 10 to 20 every week (definetley sign up for their newsletter too!). I also suggest going on their website. This can go for any type of print/web journalism (from blogs, to newspapers to magazines). I also suggest joining an organization that specifically for careers in journalism. I am apart of New York Women In Communications Inc., an organization for women in the NY-NJ-PA-CT area (of all ages, from students to professionals) who all aspire to either be or already have a career in the field of communications (i.e. public relations, books,Internet media, publishing,etc.). I have been using Wet’n'Wild’s Mega Slicks Lip Gloss since I first discovered my passion for make-up, during my senior year of High School. As I have said before, there make-up is very cheap (Mega slicks costs about $2.99 each) and their good quality. Although the shine does do away after an hour or two, the color stays on longer, so be sure to have a clear lip gloss if you like the shine. My favorite shades are red sensation and bronze berry. For the spring time, I recommend Sheerly Cola and Magenta Flash because of their neutral and fun colors, basically anyone can wear those shades, no matter what skin tone! Three songs that I really love out right now are all, coincidentally, begin with the letter “A”. Amy Winehouse’s debut single “You know I’m no good”, is a kind of bluesy 1940-1950′s song with a kind of hip-hop vibe. The remix of the song featuring rapper Scarface has been playing on the hip-hop stations but the video has been on massive air-play on MTV and MTV Jams. I also like Ashley Tisdale’s single “Be Good to Me”. Although I’m not much of a High-school musical fan, this song has a good beat and melody to sing to. Its played on Z100 almost every hour, is becoming yet another Disney channel star hit (i.e. Vanessa Hudgens and Hilary Duff). I also like the new group, Audio Club, and their song, “Something Serious”. Its a fun song, something that is definitely requested in the dance clubs. At first, i thought the rapping was kind of corny but it grew on me after I listened to it several times. All are great songs that I definetley recommend everybody whose reading this to buy/download!
