Last week, I heard the world premiere song from Good Charlotte, ” The river” on Z100. Benji and Joel were there talking about their new album, which isn’t titled yet (at least I don’t think so). “The river” features fellow rock group, Avenged Sevenfold. It sounds very “poppy” but Avenged Sevenfold’s lead singer, M. Shadows, definitely gives it a rock edge with his scratchy vocals. I also like Ciara’s new single “Like a boy”, which talks about the problems girl through with guys in relationships and how she wish she could turn the tables and have the girls treat guys like dirt for a change. I also like a new band called, Flyleaf. I’m a big fan of groups with a lead female vocalist where the rest are guys, the female calling all the shots! Lead singer Lacey Mosely’s voice is very powerful, and although i’m not really into the screaming part of some of their songs, her voice makes it easier to listen to. (a good example is their new single, Fully Alive)
